Decreasing pain for Fibromyalgia & CRPS
Fibromyalgia and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) are two different chronic conditions, which take a lot more than standard treatment protocols to manage....
While exercise may seem like the most unsuitable way to manage such symptoms and can be uncomfortable to begin with, it is indeed one of the most important steps that you can take to not only prevent your condition from getting worse but also to help you regain functional ability, decrease your pain and improve your mental well-being so that you are able to manage daily life once again.
When prescribed correctly and with the correct focus, exercise can be the most beneficial form of treatment.
Did you know...
Fibromyalgia can affect anyone at any age but is most commonly diagnosed between the age of 25 and 55 years. Approximately 80% of fibromyalgia sufferers are women.
Although CRPS can start at any age it is most common between the ages of 40 and 60 years. CRPS occurs more frequently with women than men.
Fibromyalgia, CRPS and other related pain syndromes are complex multi-dimensional illnesses meaning the condition has many facets that can often require specialist treatment in various physiological and psychological disciplines.
Pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, paresthesia and consequent anxiety and depression are only a handful of symptoms that someone with these conditions is likely to experience. Existing with such a condition can be extremely challenging for all involved and can put strain on your relationships and daily obligations.
If this sounds like you or know anyone that struggles with the ongoing troubles of a complex pain condition, then please get in touch with us to have a chat about how an exercise pain-management programme may be the best thing for you or your loved ones future health and happiness.
